Real hope is rooted in the truth.

When does a pregnancy become a baby?

A pregnancy is a baby from the very beginning.

When does life begin?

Life begins at conception.

God's Word says ~

"For you [God] formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.Your eyes say my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them."
~ Psalm 139:13-16

Does abortion really matter?

Yes, because it destroys a gift created and given by God.

"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things and by your will they existed and were created."
~ Revelations 4:11

"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward."
~ Psalm 127:3


Is abortion wrong?

Yes, it is taking the life of another person.

"You shall not murder."

So, where is the Real Hope?

The Real Hope is in the truth of God's Word.
There is good news!

God's Word says ~

You are not alone.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
~ Romans 3:23

Sin is serious, yet, God provides forgiveness.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." ~ Romans 6:23

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
~ John 3:16

"but God showed his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." ~ Romans 5:8

Is there forgiveness after abortion?

Yes!

"I [Jesus] have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance."
~ Luke 5:32

"For the Son of Man [Jesus] came to seek and to save the lost."
~ Luke 19:10

"For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. How do I know I'm really forgiven?

Trust that what God says is true.

"if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
~ Romans 10:13

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death."

Will I ever get past this in my mind?

Yes, Jesus Christ gives perfect peace.

"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
~ Romans 5:1

"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
~ Philippians 4:7

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Will my heart ever stop hurting?

Yes, turn to Jesus.

"The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
~ Psalm 34:10

What is my hope for the future?

New life as we trust in Jesus Christ is our only hope.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

Where do I go from here?

Get to know Jesus.
Pray, read the Bible, and get involved in a local church.
